Designed for children ages 7-15, the program blends both Junior Lifeguards and Swim Team experience into one. Participants can look forward to building up swimming stamina and also their knowledge of lifeguard skills including water rescues, first aid and CPR. New for this year, Diamond Point Club will be offering swim lessons in spring as well as summer. There will be two spring sessions of swim lessons in the evening offered beginning April 30th and ending on May 24th. Spring swim lessons will be for pre-school beginners and beginner swim classes. Summer session begins on June 4th and ends at the end of July. Summer classes will be for children from parent and me classes all the way to adults. Swim Registration begins on Monday, April 15th. The club is looking to fill a few positions with energetic, outgoing, and experienced lifeguards/swim instructors for the 2013 summer season. Our summer season will run from Memorial Day Weekend to the end of August. While being part of our small team means plenty of work it also gives you the rewarding opportunity of bonding with coworkers and servicing the community.
All potential employees will be required to obtain necessary certifications and successfully pass a criminal background investigation.

Kickboxing
Discover self-defense and fitness through the martial sport of Kickboxing. Unlike Cardio-kickboxing, this class utilizes focus pads to add resistance training. Experience the eclectic blend of several martial art disciplines such as Muay Thai, Chinese Kickboxing and JunFan J.K.D. Learn to use your fist, feet, elbows and knees for practical self-defense at the same time increasing your health and fitness. Kickboxing is one of the most popular classes in the fitness industry today.
Note: Hand Wraps or Bag Gloves recommended.

Filipino Martial Arts
Learn practical self-defense through the Filipino Martial Arts. Basic Doce Pares “original” multi-style system of Eskrima will be taught incorporating the use of double and single rattan sticks as a tool for enhancing hand speed, awareness, proper body motion, positioning, and footwork. Also covered will be basic offense/defense, disarms, locks, and empty hand techniques. Learn the art first hand from one of the world’s leading Filipino Martial Arts Systems. Pair of rattan training sticks will be sold on the first day of instruction.
Classes: Tuesday & Thursdays 8:00-9:30 PM
Class fee: Homeowners-$30 per month; Guests-$55 per month
Equipment: Rattan training sticks $15

A free “Demo” Day is offered so that you may try out the classes before committing to join. The demo day is Sunday February 24, 2013. The annual Holiday Boutique will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 5:30-9:00 PM. The event will be held at the Diamond Point Clubhouse located at 536 Navajo Springs Road. Vendors will be on hand selling a variety of arts and crafts and gifts. In addition to the vendor fair, the Clubhouse will be decorated in the spirit of the holidays, we will be playing your favorite music and we will have arts and craft activities for the kids while you shop. Join us for some light refreshments and see all of the new things happening at the Club. Admission is free for everyone. Vendor Tables cost $10. Vendors interested in selling should contact Wes at (909) 860-2393 no later than December 7th. Advertisements in the PennySaver and Diamond Bar Windmill will go out just prior to the event.

Mission Statement
The Diamond Point Club is a non-profit homeowners’ Association located in the City of Diamond Bar, California. The purpose is to provide its private Membership with excellent, professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly service. The Club manages the Diamond Point Club Homeowners’ Association and the Swim and Racquet Club. Under the direction of elected Board of Directors, staff operates the Club in the best interests of its Membership.
The goal of the Association is to enforce the CC& R’s, Bylaws and Rules and Regulations. This includes Preserving the enjoyment of living in the Community, maintain the attractiveness of Diamond Point and protecting the value of the Homeowner’s property.
The goal of the Swim and Racquet Club is to provide a fun, clean and safe recreational facility for its members to use. Staff will organize and coordinate recreational activities that enrich our Members lives and benefit them mentally and physically.
